Our County and State government belong to ALL of us. While not addressed in the Constitution specifically, it is expected that government is neutral in political matters when acting in its official capacity. I have not seen the discussion (Bearden makes me laugh in a painful way), but I am disappointed to see that Commissioner Kruse joined in on this obviously inappropriate use of our government putting their collective thumb on the scale. This action was inappropriate for being last minute, for being non-county, for wasting time on taxpayer's dime, and for violating their obligation to be neutral in their official capacity. It is no surprise, however, as their idol, Ron DeSantis is doing much worse. DeSantis has spent $20 million taxpayer funds (per reporter Jason Garcia, Seeking Rents) and the labor of no less than 6 state agencies in his unlawful publicly funded campaign against the only 2 citizen initiated Amendments - Amendment 3 and 4. I know this is wishful thinking, but even voters that are against Amendment 4 should be against Commissioner's being paid a public salary to waste time on this issue they have no business weighing in on. Sari is right - how about getting the debri picked up or the 1980 flood maps updated? I am already looking forward to joining the very long line of county residents ready to go to work against Jason Bearden's re-election

Thank you Sari...you would make a great Commissioner...love your topics and you are so thorough in your investigation...You have my vote
Thank you
I’m guessing Bearden’s days are numbered. Constituents don’t need to know where our commissioners stand on this issue.
